Web/Mobile Designer

WEB/MOBILE DEVELOPER

Our client is a global leader in the growing and highly innovative vaccines industry and develops, produces and commercializes the world’s largest range of vaccines and combination vaccines that provide protection against a variety of diseases. The product portfolio includes a range of vaccines for children and an adult and traveler’s range.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION*

This SOW is for a web/mobile design expert to help bring our web applications to the next level. The successful candidate will have experience understanding client side UI technologies (Flash, JS, AJAX) as well as iOS design elements while being able to create highly usable and visually cutting edge web/mobile interfaces. A digital portfolio of work is essential in gauging past work experience and is required.

WORK LOCATION/HOURS

From our office in the Collegeville, PA area. This is a 40 hour per week position and hours are flexible between 7:30-5:30

TIMEFRAME*

The assignment for this statement of work is approximately from February through the end of the year.

DELIVERABLES

Development
The designer will provide direction to the developers throughout this stage providing direction based upon the specific change requirements and business needs, while adhering to the project schedule.

Testing
The designer will support the testing of the changes to the system by developing test scripts with the help of the business users. These test scripts will trace back to each individual requirement in the requirements document or specific support needs. These test scripts will be developed in eDoc and will be reviewed and approved through the eDoc workflow process.

Implementation
The designer will oversee moving of the changes to the system successfully into production. He/she will insure all necessary documentation is approved and closed out in eDoc and the EPM system.

- 4 – 6 years experience with Web Designer experience
- Ability to apply traditional art training and design to effective web interfaces while maintaining a high level of aesthetics

- Prior experience in Agency level of work or equivalent
- Experience with designing iOS interfaces
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry a plus but not needed.
- Ability to produce quality deliverables within a scheduled timeframe.

This is a part time position averaging about 20 hours per week. Position reports to the Communications Director with a dotted reporting line to the Director of Information Technology Services. Developer will work with the Communications Director, departments and constituencies throughout PennDesign to create and maintain websites using the Drupal content management system. Be available for meetings with the Communications Director, and other Design staff as needed.
• Proven Drupal development skills, including conversion of existing website, evaluations of plug-in modules, execution of super-administrative duties
• Proficient with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, XML
• Install drupal updates to site; perform normal maintenance
• Provide guidance and recommendations to Departments and other Design groups in developing their web content, and provide support when necessary. Give guidance for third party web hosting sites when appropriate.
• Must be experienced with high-profile, high-traffic websites.

• Perform regularly scheduled back-ups of site

HTML5 Designer Needed

A small research consultancy is looking to hire a digital designer on a project basis. We are in the process of building an interactive online research platform.

Seeking a super creative designer who is proficient in HTML5. Interactive design experience is a PLUS as this tool will involve simple games. Some familiarity with Flash may be helpful but this is not a requirement. You must be comfortable collaborating with a programmer.
