Location: Philadelphia, PA
The Interactive Art Director provides a crucial leadership role for the firm’s suite of interactive design services. The candidate will be required to translate the client’s business vision into effective interactive solutions. The position is responsible for developing the look and feel of a variety of interactive solutions as well as providing direction to the design staff. The candidate must have a passion for blending high end design with interactive technology.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the conceptualization and design of interactive solutions from concept to completion, including design mock ups (hands on as well directing others)
* Understands technology and is able to communicate ideas to Web Developer / UX teams
* Mentor and supervise junior designers
* Act as Design Lead for client meetings as well as during sales pitches
* Working closely with User Experience, Development and Project Managers to deliver exceptional results
* Demonstrate high standards of workmanship, attention to detail and adherence to industry standards
Required Skills
* 4-year degree and 5+ years experience
* Proficiency in Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, with HTML/XHTML and CSS skills
* Flash with some knowledge of ActionScript a plus
* Video skill a plus
* Some knowledge of JavaScript a plus
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* High interest in latest use of design for the web
