Health IT Services Needed

The Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) is seeking a part- time (20 – 30 hours per week) Health Information Technology (IT) Manager. Candidates able to work out of ACHA’s Philadelphia national office are preferred, but remote employment will be considered for otherwise strong candidates. In addition, contractors and consultants are encouraged to respond as this project may fit with your work mission.

The Health IT Manager will serve as the interface between various analysts, researchers and community members in the US and Canada to assist in employing electronic health record technology to create a national infrastructure for multicenter research in congenital heart disease. This project is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the creation of a timely, patient-centered surveillance and data tool. The Heath IT Manager will be part of the national Research Empowerment in Adult Congenital Heart disease (REACH) project team funded in part by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The Health IT Manager will serve as project manager for all health technology aspects of the project and will be answerable to the timeline, budget, and communication benchmarks over the next 18 months. S/he will serve as liaison and coordinator for five different hospital-based IT teams, with the project’s primary investigators and with the Quebec-based database software development team. S/he will direct monthly conference calls (including net meetings) for troubleshooting and sharing solutions and will be responsible for the creation of “solution kits” for other centers doing similar integration in the future. Additional duties may include the creation of a project website and the development of a toolkit of resources to assist the implementation of software to create the data-sharing, education and oversight tools necessary for a patient-driven, national adult congenital heart disease research network and resource center.

Job Requirements:
• BA/BS required, Masters level preferred
• Interest in contributing to developing cutting-edge tools to help patients with congenital heart defects
• Minimum two years experience with health-related information technology preferred
• Minimum two years experience in project management and/or administrative leadership
• Familiarity with SQL databases, virtual servers, HL7 and LOINC messaging standards preferred
• Familiarity with meaningful use criteria and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Schedule:
This position will work 20-30 hours. Most work to be done during normal business hours, but hours can be flexible. Actual schedule to be determined based on workflow and availability.

Compensation:
Salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years of online product development experience, having taken Internet products through the product lifecycle.

•Experience with “build or buy” analysis and vendor/partner management a plus.
•Demonstrated ability to define and communicate a product vision by means of a well written product requirement documentation and presentations.

The Senior System Administrator’s role is to manage and maintain the College’s data infrastructure and Storage Area Network to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported applications. Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data. Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations. Perform network and security audits. Using industry best-practice monitoring systems to monitor the health of servers, storage and networks. Support application and web development teams throughout project lifecycles. Analyze system, server, application, network, and SAN performance. Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts.
REQUIREMENTS:
College diploma or university degree and/or 5 years relevant work experience. Certifications in Microsoft and/or VMWare preferred, but not required. Extensive technical knowledge of network, server, and platform operating systems, including VMWare, EMC, Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange. Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Exchange Enterprise 2010 (Exchange 2007 at a minimum). Extensive knowledge of Microsoft IIS. Working knowledge of Unix or Linux systems and scripting capabilities. Working technical knowledge of network infrastructure. Hands-on troubleshooting experience. Experience with data backup and restore management. Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information. Candidate should possess strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, keen attention to detail, creative problem-solving abilities, and skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Technical Project Manager

DLC Solutions is seeking an in-house Technical Project Manger to handle account and project management for clients implementing our Drupal-based EthosCE learning management system for continuing medical education. This is a contract position expected to last at least 3-4 months, but additional projects could extend the contract.

Primary responsibilities include full-cycle technical project & account management, including:

  • Managing client communications
  • Leading internal kickoff meetings
  • Leading client discovery sessions
  • Documenting client requirements
  • Creating and managing production timelines
