Web Developer

Reporting to the Communications Web Manager, the Web Developer will work with department and constituencies throughout the University to create and maintain websites using the Drupal content management system.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1 year of related experience is required or equivalent education and experience. Proven Drupal development skills, including conversion of existing websites, evaluations of plug-in modules, execution of super-administrative duties. Proficient with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, XML. Must be experienced with high-profile, high-traffic websites. High level of motivation, attention to detail, clear communication skills and problem-solving ability.

Part time graphic designer needed in a super busy, super fun in-house marketing department, Center City, Philadelphia location.
Enjoy a fast pace workplace where you’ll be working in conception development, design and layout, final preparation through to print management.

Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Abode Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and Quark. Experience designing and programming websites is preferred. Must be versatile and able to adapt to varying needs of an array of multiple projects. A minimum of two years experience is required and salary will commensurate with level of knowledge.

User Experience Analyst

Brandywine Technology is currently seeking candidates for one of our clients in the Wilmington area. Our client is looking to add to their User Experience Team, they are seeking individuals with experience in cutting edge technologies and research methodologies. The Usability Analyst II will plan and conduct usability evaluations and other user research, utilizing a broad knowledge of user experience and user-centered design principles. The Usability Analyst II will work closely with business partners, design, and development teams and external vendors.

This person, along with the team, will be responsible for the design collaboration and development of prototypes, page designs, graphics and mockups to support research activities. They will be responsible for reporting research findings and recommendations to business and executive teams. Maintain knowledge of evolving UX design/usability principles and best practices.

Requirements:

4+ years of relevant experience in creating and conducting user research studies and translating results into design decisions. Proven experience generating research plans, defining and tracking user experience metrics; coordinating work on multiple products/releases. Demonstrated ability to plan and execute usability tests and other UX research; provide analysis and specific and prioritized recommendations. Strong understanding of user experience testing and analysis. Experience with one or more graphics tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, etc.). Experience with one or more wireframe, prototyping tools (Axure, Visio, Dreamweaver, etc.).

Art Director

Location: Center City – work with editor remotely for Sarasota, FL company

We are looking for a jack-of-all trades art director who can do anything from wireframes/designs for websites, to page design for print, photo collection, Photoshop, setting up photo shoots, hiring illustrators. Miles Media is small and ambitious, but there is definitely room for growth, with an opportunity to travel and experience the tourism product of the clients. The person would be responsible for conceptual development and execution of creative ideas in products across a wide range of platforms: print, web, electronic marketing and multi-media.

Strategic brainstorming, ability to present concepts to the client, design execution of ideas and quality assurance of all creative deliverables will be key parts of the job. The person will work with a publisher, editor, manager, advertising account manager and will be able to communicate and delegate tasks and assignments on multiple schedules and deadlines.

The person must have expert knowledge in In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, and a sold working knowledge of Flash, HTML and CSS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom Drupal modules by writing original code
  • Provide technical advice on website design and development throughout the entire planning, designing, coding, testing, and support lifecycle.

Visual UX Designer

As a Studio Designer UX (Visual or Graphic) in the User Experience group, your key responsibilities will encompass experience design of web sites, mobile applications, and set-top box user interfaces, establishing and/or evolving UX guides, establishing and/or evolving UX libraries, production graphics and designing signage/branded templates with an expert understanding of user experience best practices.

My client is seeking a highly motivated Interaction Designer (IxD) to join our fast-growing product design team. The primary focus of this position will be to help shape design vision for mobile products.

Responsibilities

* Work with product management to craft and execute on plans for appropriate user research to generate novel mobile interactions and also discover mobile interaction patterns.
* Become a key resource for others trying to understand emerging trends in the mobile space to help shape design vision for mobile products.
* Distill your research into effective and usable formats (e.g., personas, high-level goal and activity analysis summaries).
* Collaborate with other IxDs in the group on design ideas and actively critique your own and others’ sketches, and iterate to discover the best designs.
* Create prototypes of varying fidelities based on the needs of the given design problems (e.g., prototype for user-based evaluation and prototypes for communicating your design vision).
* Communicate your designs effectively to visual designers and engineers and actively collaborate with them through implementation to resolve design questions and ensure desired execution.
* Facilitate usability testing as needed on your designs, prototypes & products.

Qualifications

* A bachelor’s or higher degree, preferably in HCI, Design, library sciences, or humanities; or equivalent experience in interaction design.
* Portfolio illustrating your interaction design work. In the least, send us a design flow that you love discussing or are proud of!
* Demonstrable knowledge of human factors, user/design research techniques, UCD or Design-based process (Agile—a plus), and how to create common interaction design deliverables.
* Familiarity with usability testing.
