Your responsibilities will include (but are not be limited to):

* Designing and developing engaging features for both our consumer facing website and our back-end support for property managers.
o You will be responsible for designing the look and feel and determining flow for the site.
o We need you to understand and be an advocate for our customers.
* Working on software that implements game mechanics and out of box user acquisition tactics including viral loops and social graph integration.
* Taking on additional responsibilities where your passions are aligned with our business.

Requirements

* Experience building web applications. HTTP/HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX
* UI/UX experience.
* Some graphic design skills. If we need an image whipped up, we will be looking at you to do it.
* Experience with a Ruby on Rails AND/OR experience with PHP/Django and a willingness to learn Ruby/Rails.
o We are looking for someone who cannot only design the pages, but actually get them shipped to production.
o You do not need to be a Rails guru, but you will be expected to pick up how to build pages in Rails
* Experience with relational databases (MySQL).
o Again, you don’t need to be a guru, but you should have an idea of how a relational database works
* Smart, productive, and willing to learn and grow

Nice To Haves (Not Required, but Definitely Helpful)

* Experience with Java, Python, or PHP.
* Knowledge and experience in game mechanics, viral loops, and social graph integration.
* Experience in the travel industry

Senior Web Developer (TU-12884)
This is an exceptional opportunity to support web and multimedia productions for the Temple University Community. Duties include web development, search engine Web optimization, online marketing, and audio & video production for the web. In this role, you will also maintain components of the portfolio’s web sites and develop dynamic web sites using open source systems.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in web development, interactive media or graphic design
• At least 3 years of hands-on web development experience

In this role, you will interact with content authors, editors, project managers, and technology staff in designing, developing and maintaining high quality electronic products such as web sites, e-mail newsletters, e-mail marketing messages, and other digital media. Responsible for enhancing and maintaining Temple.edu web site and all related links and contribute to the structure and develop Temple.edu pages as necessary. The Solution Architect will be expected to interactively come up with technical strategies that meet client needs and are consistent with our client’s platform capabilities. The Solution Architect will be involved in the estimation, planning, analysis, design, and implementation of the various projects that result from these client interactions.

Technical Responsibilities

Support client and prospect meetings. Present current baseline technical capabilities of our client’s platform to clients, and actively participate with defining technical approaches to solving client’s business needs.
Produce system solutions and architectural designs to meet identified business requirements. Solutions must incorporate scalability, availability, security, and maintainability characteristics. Risks, assumptions, and costs for solutions must be articulated.
